Moussa Mountain Excursion from Sharm-El-Sheikh

Mount Moses (Mount Sinai) is one of the most famous in Egypt, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. According to the biblical texts, it was here that God appeared and gave Moses the 10 commandments. Since the 4th century AD, representatives of Christianity and Islam have traditionally revered Mount Sinai as the sacred mountain of Moses. At the foot of the mountain there is the Church of St. Catherine, which "protects" this natural monument.
Our ascent of the mountain will be along a gentle path and every tourist can master it. You can walk the first part of the way or ride a camel or donkey for an additional fee. The second part of the way can only be walked: a stone staircase of 800 steps ends right at the top. You will climb to a height of 2285 meters and will be able to enjoy a gorgeous sunrise from the top of the mountain.

The program of the excursion:

- Our transfer will pick you up from the hotel gate at about 21:00
- Stop for a snack, toilet, as well as information from the guide
- A trip to the foot of the mountain, which lasts about 1.5 hours
- Night ascent of the mountain (2,285 meters, distance 7 km), which takes about 3 hours. In the first half of the journey, it is possible to take a camel or donkey to climb, but the second part will have to be walked only. 
- Completion of the ascent: enjoy the unique beauty of the sunset and the picturesque view from the top of the mountain (you can also rent a plaid)
- Descent down the mountainside to the Church of St. Catherine, where an excursion awaits you
- Transfer back around 9:30 a.m., you will arrive at the hotel at about 13:00.
